Chauncey C Crosby, Merchant Marine

CHAUNCEY CHESTER CROSBY, MERCHANT MARINE
by debbie.storbeck@gmail.com
My Great Uncle Chauncey served in the Merchant Marines from 1927-1962.  Chauncey Chester Crosby, born September 11, 1898, was the first of four sons born to Charles F Crosby and Charlotte H Fuller.
This is a journal or book that he kept.  There are three logs in the small black notebook.  The first log, kept on paper that fits notebook rings began on 31 March 1951 in Buffalo, New York.  Note on these log pages that he has a stick figure notation, I wonder what it means?
There are 2 other logs, on smaller pages that are attached through 2 rings of the notebook.  One begins on June 18,  1952 in Sandusky, Ohio and the other begins April 27, 1958 in Buffalo, New York.  The notebook is in the collection of Deborah Storbeck on 19 March 2016.
